Okay, I've decided I'd like some product
photography done. What now?
1.) Contact us
for a quote using our
quote form or
by emailing us.
2.) Once a quote is provided and agreed
upon, you pay a 40% deposit and send us your
items. Please make sure your items are
carefully packaged, and are ready to be
photographed. 3.) Once received, we will
let you know it arrived safely. We will
review the products and
let you know if there is
anything unique or different in such a
way to change the quote price (e.g.
assembly required, products requiring
extra set up and lighting, etc).
If there is a particular way you'd like
the products photographed as well, this
will also be discussed.
4.) When photography is done, we will provide
low resolution watermarked
proofs to you of the results online for
review. 5.)
If you are happy with the proofs, we will
send you an invoice. 6.) Once paid in full, we will send you your
photos containing no watermarks and ship
your items back to you.
Shipping charges,
including insurance when necessary, to and
from us are the responsibility of the
client. All shipping charges will be billed
to the clients shipping account number or
added to the final bill.
If you are local, we
can arrange pick up and drop off of your
products so you don't have to pay
shipping fees. Within a 20 mile radius,
this will be free. Over 20 miles,
additional fees will be billed to your
account for travel expenses.
Web
Package vs. Web + High Res. What's best for
me?
If you
plan to use your photos for the web only
(eBay or your website, etc), then the Web
Package should suit your needs. If you plan
to use your photos for printing though
(catalogs, etc), or if you'd just like to
have a high resolution photo on hand for
whatever needs you may have, then you want the Web +
High Res Package.
We've created these two
packages to give pricing options to best
suit our customers needs. High resolutions
images take up more file space, take longer
to upload/download, etc. So if you're an
online business owner or eBay seller who is only
going to be using the photos on the web, why
pay more for a high resolution image that
you'll never use? But at the same time, we
want to provide a reasonable price for
people who need photos for printing. So
choose which package best suits your needs.
In what format will the images be
provided to me?
For our Web Package, you will
receive two images of your product. One thumbnail image (150
pixels) and one medium image (700
pixels). Both will be in JPG format at 72
dpi.
For our Web + High Res
Package, you will receive the images above,
plus a high resolution image (of at least
2000x1600 pixels) in TIFF format at 300 dpi.
If you would like another format for your
high resolution image other then TIFF (jpg,
psp, psd, etc.) just let us know.
If you have specific size
specifications so the images will fit your
website (i.e. a thumbnail that's 200
pixels), just let us know when placing your
order and we will be happy to provide you
with sizes to fit your needs.
If I back out, can I get my deposit back?
In most cases, yes.
There's three scenarios to this:
- You want your
deposit back and we haven't started
photographing yet
If we haven't started photographing
your products yet, and you decide to
back out and want your deposit back,
then yes, we will return your
deposit in full. You will pay S&H
for returning your products though.
- You want your
deposit back but we've already done
the photography
If you want your deposit back but
I've already done the photography,
then no. The deposit goes towards
the time and work we spent
photographing your products. This
only changes if:
- You're unhappy
with the results we provide
If we've photographed your products,
provided proofs for you to review,
and you're unhappy with the results,
we will re-shoot them for free. If
you're still unhappy with the
results, then we will return your
deposit in full and return your
products for free.
Are
there any additional fees that I will have
to pay for using the images?
No.
You will receive high quality digital images
that are royalty free. This means you will
never have to pay a yearly fee to use them,
or a fee each time you use the image. You
can use each image as many times as you have
need, whether it be in print or on the web.
It's YOUR image. Although, you will not be
allowed to sell the photos for profit to
stock agencies, or claim copyright on them.
All copyrights remain with the photographer.
And we reserve the right to add the product
photo to our portfolio unless requested
otherwise.
